COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Music lovers are invited to dust off their forgotten ’80s duds and prepare for a blast from the past as The 1985 brings their Totally ‘80s Music Experience to the historic Tibbits Opera House this Saturday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m.
The touring tribute band, founded by Lisa and Dan Vukmirovich (known on stage as Lisa and Danny Vee), promises a full stage experience complete with videos, lights, costumes, and covers of the decade’s best rock, pop, new wave, metal, and club music. The band, which includes Dave “Dr. Feelgood” Taylor, “Captain” Mikey Screes, and Ross “The Boss” Shelton, has toured extensively across Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio, and is excited to bring their full production to Coldwater, where Lisa and Dan have community ties and the band has previously performed at local athletic booster events.
Ticket options, from $20 to $36, available online at Tibbits.org, by calling 517-278-6029, or by visiting the Tibbits Administrative Office.
For those who want to get down and dance through the show without bothering other concert-goers, the Opera House is again making an “On Your Feet” section available, with tickets demarcated on the website. Doors to the lobbies, art gallery, and Ghost Light Bar open at 6:00 p.m., with seating beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The show starts at 7:00 p.m.
