CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – There are now 32 girls volleyball teams left across all divisions of the 2025 MHSAA Girls Volleyball Tournament. Unfortunately for Branch County fans, the Bronson Vikings are not among the quarterfinalists. The Vikings fell to the Kalamazoo Christian Comets in straight sets, 25-20, 25-18, 26-24, Thursday night in a Division 3 Regional Final at Centreville.
In her final match for the Vikings, Aleah Brackett led the offense with 14 kills and 14 digs, while fellow senior Roni Bir had 2 kills and 13 digs. Senior Itzel Albarran had 13 assists and 2 service aces to go with 10 digs. Hermosa Gonzalez had a team-high 17 digs, and Hadley Wagaman contributed 15 digs, 2 aces, and 4 assists.

Bronson concluded its season with a record of 29-18-6. Kalamazoo Christian improved to 28-12-3 and will face Pewamo-Westphalia next Tuesday in a Division 3 Quarterfinal at Vicksburg. The Pirates won the White Cloud Regional by beating North Muskegon in four sets (25-20, 21-25, 25-22, 25-17).
Coldwater will host a Division 4 Quarterfinal next Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium. Top-ranked Mendon will be there; the Hornets won the Regional they hosted by beating St. Philip 25-14, 23-25, 25-13, 25-10. They will face the Colts of Hillsdale Academy, who won the Petersburg Summerfield Regional by sweeping Lansing Christian 25-23, 25-16, 25-18.
