ALBION, MI (WTVB) – It was a busy weekend for the Coldwater High School bowling teams, with two days of action.
Saturday the varsity bowlers traveled to University Lanes in Albion for the Sue Hutchings Mixed Scotch Doubles tournament today. There were 38 pairs and after four games Coldwater had six of their seven in the top 19.
They had three pairs make it to the top eight bracket. The pair of Kahle Weis and Kylie Cook finished 4th, Carson Smith and Alanna Houtz took 5th, and Zach Robison and Ashlyn Cleckner finished 6th.
The Cardinal varsity bowlers traveled to Three Rivers Sunday to compete in the 2nd Annual Wildcat Invitational.
The Lady Cards had a good day, finishing in second place, with Grace Tuttle making the All Tournament Team with a third place finish.
The girls bowled two regular games with a total of 1398 and eight Baker games with a total of 1201 for an overall total of 2599, missing out of the first place spot by around 30 pins.
The boys team had a strong showing as well in a very competitive bracket, with a two regular game total of 1586, and an eight Baker game total of 1201 for an overall total of 2787, taking fourth place for the day.

The teams will travel to Pennfield Tuesday for a meet with the Panthers.
