COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Courtroom project is over and came in under the $1.8 million budget.
Renovations were made to all three courtrooms after they were approved by the Branch County Board of Commissioners 18 months ago.
County Administrator Frank Walsh told County Commissioners on Thursday that all three courtrooms are in full operation and while there were a couple of items remaining to complete, the “punch list” is minor.
He said the project came in about $104,000 under budget.
Probate Judge Kirk Kashian told Commissioners during their work session his courtroom is more user friendly and a lot more accessible.
Work in the Branch County Probate Courtroom started in July followed by the renovation of the Circuit and District courtrooms during the fall.
