UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – In Big 8 Conference boys basketball action Thursday night, Union City improved to 3-7 overall and 2-2 in the league as they trounced Reading 67-34 at the McNett Fieldhouse.
Bronson fell to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in the Big 8 as they lost at Springport 76-39. And Quincy fell to 3-5 overall, 1-3 in the Big 8 as Maple Valley held off the visiting Orioles 47-45.
Next Tuesday, Quincy will host Union City, while Bronson will entertain Stockbridge.

In JV boys basketball, Coldwater picked up a 48-36 win at Harper Creek. Kolton Rice led the Cardinals with 16 points. Joe Hayward scored 11, and Mayson Moore had 8. Bronson lost at Springport 56-23.
