President and CEO Jeremiah J. Hodshire highlighted the hospital’s growth in meeting community needs amid ongoing difficulties, emphasizing the institution’s five pillars: people, service, quality, finance, and growth. Key statistics include 1,515 acute care admissions, 382 babies delivered, 6,213 surgical procedures—a 128% increase from the prior year—and over 105,000 outpatient visits. The hospital also launched new services such as Hillsdale Podiatry, outpatient tele-neurology, and advanced procedures in neurosurgery and urology.
The report notes significant advocacy efforts against Medicaid cuts and for rural hospital support, alongside $2.2 million invested in new technology and equipment, including robotic-assisted neurosurgery tools and upgraded imaging. Hillsdale Hospital earned strong recognitions, including a four-star CMS patient survey rating (the only one in a 30-mile radius), a five-star rating for its skilled nursing facility, and awards for outcomes and workplace excellence.
Financially, the hospital reported improved operating income driven by higher revenue and collections, with an economic impact exceeding $43.2 million. CFO Mark Gross credited the progress to dedicated staff and community support.
