BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Aspiring dental professionals have until Monday, March 2, to apply for the Fall 2026 Dental Hygiene Program at Kellogg Community College (KCC). This competitive, two-year program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and offers students hands-on training in the college’s newly renovated campus clinic in Battle Creek.
Graduates earn an Associate of Applied Science degree and become eligible for national and regional board exams to secure their professional credentials. With the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting a median annual salary of $94,260 and projecting industry growth that is “much faster than average,” KCC’s program—which admits only 20 students per year—serves as a high-demand pathway into a lucrative healthcare career.
Beyond dental hygiene, KCC is also accepting applications for several other selective allied health programs with deadlines approaching throughout the spring.
Prospective students can apply for the Physical Therapist Assistant program by April 6 or the Radiography program by May 21. Additionally, various tracks for the Nursing program will see application windows open starting March 2, with deadlines ranging from May to August.
Because admission is selective, applicants must first complete a general KCC application and finish specific prerequisite courses before submitting their program-specific materials. Interested individuals are encouraged to visit kellogg.edu/dental or contact the Selective Admissions Office for detailed requirements.
