BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Effective March 1, 2026, the City of Bronson will transition to Washler Inc. as its exclusive waste and recycling service provider.
This change was approved by the City Council to limit utility rate increases for residents, resulting in a 3.52% increase to $18.54 per month compared to a potential 15.86% increase under the previous provider.
Republic Services will conduct its final pickup next week on February 24, collecting residents’ empty blue bins, while Washler will deliver new carts beginning this Thursday. Bronson residents are reminded not to use the Washler carts until next month.
Under the new system, all trash and recycling collection will occur on Wednesdays, beginning March 4.
Recycling will be collected every other Wednesday, and bulk items will be picked up on the alternate Wednesdays for a $15 fee per item, which must be scheduled by calling City Hall at (517)369-7334.
