COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – As was the case for many communities in southern Michigan, a significant early November snow forced an abrupt end to fall leaf collection. For that reason Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker has announced the city will conduct a special leaf collection this month, weather permitting.
Residents are asked to rake loose leaves out to the curb for pickup, which will be carried out by city crews as weather permits through the end of March.
The special spring collection provides an additional opportunity for property maintenance following the conclusion of the winter season.
According to the City of Coldwater, the regular weekly yard waste collection is scheduled to officially begin Monday, April 6, 2026. This service, which requires yard waste to be placed in paper bags only, will continue every Monday through October.
Additionally, the first spring brush pick-up will also take place April 6, with a second spring collection following on the first Monday of May.
