COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Residents across Branch County and southern Michigan should prepare for another surge of summer heat as temperatures are projected to climb back toward the 90-degree mark next week.
Following a brief period of mild weather, the National Weather Service says that a building system will bring clear, sunny skies and rising humidity starting Monday, pushing afternoon heat index values back into the triple digits by Tuesday and Wednesday.
Health officials are advising community members to monitor vulnerable neighbors, ensure cooling systems are functioning, and stay properly hydrated as these hotter conditions return to southern Michigan.
