COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Early voting for the August 4, primary to set to begin Saturday in Branch County. It will mark the 2nd election cycle for early voting in Michigan, Branch County Clerk Terry Kubasek says the first go around in the 2024 presidential primary got off to a slow start but was embraced by voters by the 2024 November general election
Kubasiak says they anticipate a busy nine days now that voters have seen the flexibility in voting early
To accommodate voters across the county, early voting is consolidated at the Dearth Center in Coldwater.
Voters utilizing the early voting site must also bring a valid photo ID.
Among the races on the primary ballot are federal and statewide contests, including the election for Michigan Governor. Branch County voters will have the opportunity to participate in primary nominations for various offices, such as a U.S. Senate seat, the 5th Congressional District, and state offices including State Senate and State Representative.
Branch County races include Circuit Court Judge, and Branch County Prosecuting Attorney.
