COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU) and the City of Coldwater are partnering once again to collect school supplies for local students as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
The community-wide School Supply Drive aims to help ensure area students have the resources they need to begin the school year ready to learn.
The community is invited to donate new school supplies through Friday, August 14, to collection boxes are located at Coldwater City Hall, 1 Grand St.
While traditional school supplies such as pencils, crayons, notebooks, glue, folders, and paper are always needed, local schools have also identified several high-demand items, including backpacks, refillable water bottles, socks, breakfast foods, disinfectant wipes, feminine hygiene products, and colored copy paper.
Community Engagement/Marketing Manager Leilani Casteele says they hope individuals, businesses, service organizations, and community groups will once again join in helping local students start the school year with the resources they need to succeed.
Donated supplies will be distributed to students attending St. Charles Borromeo School, Pansophia Academy, and Coldwater Community Schools.
