JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – The first Interstate 8 girls golf jamboree of the season took place Tuesday afternoon, hosted by Parma Western at Arbor Hills Golf Club, and the top two teams were separated by just two strokes. Harper Creek won the jamboree with a team score of 171, while Coldwater was runner-up with their score of 173.
Two strokes also separated the individual medalist, Harper Creek’s Haley Willi, from Coldwater freshman Aubrey Eberts. Willi finished with a nine-hole score of 37, while Eberts was second with 39. Also for the Cardinals, Alivia Arnold tied for fourth with a round of 42, and Payton Longstreet tied for seventh with her 45. Harper Anglin carded a 47, McKinley Earles shot a 53, and Kenna Niedzwiecki fired a 54.
Coldwater’s JV team will take part in the Lakeview JV Invitational on Wednesday. The next action for the varsity squad will be the Harper Creek jamboree on September 2nd at Binder Park Golf Course.
