COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls swim and dive team swam a double dual Tuesday night, hosting Adrian and Portage Northern at the Browne Aquatic Center.
In a very close contest, where the lead changed hands four times, the Cardinals lost to Portage Northern 93-88.
The Lady Cards also lost to Adrian 102-72.
Sonya Shchendryhina will return to the MHSAA state championships with a state cut swim in the 100 Breaststroke.
Shchendryhina also finished the night with four wins, winning both the 200 IM and 100 Breaststoke against both teams.
Alyssa Everett picked up a win in diving against Adrian.
Zoey Daws won the 50 Free against Portage Northern and a win in the 100 Fly against Adrian.
Ambriah Lewis finished with a win the 100 Free against Portage Northern.
Ava Motes earned a win in the 500 Free against Adrian, and the relay of Lewis, Daws, Shchendryhina and Korrin Brown won the 400 Free relay against Portage Northern.
Coldwater swims again next Tuesday when they host Mattawan at the Browne Aquatic Center.
