COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The average price for a gallon of gas in Michigan has spiked, jumping 28-cents in the past week.
Triple-A Michigan says the average is now up to $4.31 per gallon statewide, that is right in line with the national average.
Closer to home Branch County’s average is $4.33 per gallon, in Hillsdale County it’s $4.24 while is St Joseph County the average cost per gallon sits at $4.30.
Thanks to the gas tax holiday across the state line, Indiana continues to have the lowest pump prices in the nation although they are up about 20-cents per gallon from this time a week ago an average of $3.56 per gallon.
As of this morning oil prices are up nearly a little over 3 % from Sunday to just over $103 per barrel
