COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Legg Middle School volleyball teams hosted Parma Western Thursday.
The 8th grade A team lost 4-25, 13-25,10-14.
Leading the team was Hayden Riley with 8 points, 5 aces and 3 digs. Bella Vanderpuyl 4 digs and one kill. Madi Chamberlain and Evelyn McRea each with one kill. Jordi Wilson 2 digs.
The 8th grade B team lost 23-25, 18-25, and then coming back to win the third game 17-15.
Leading the Lady Cards in scoring was Payton Newland with 9 points and 7 aces, Madi Floyd with 5 aces, Bella Brayton with 4 and 2 aces, Noami Villa with 5 points and Lilly Raymond with 2 points and 1 ace.
Madi Floyd had 3 digs and 3 assists, Payton Newland had 2 digs, 1 kill, Noami Villa had 2 kills and Dani Cruz-Aburto had 2 digs and 1 assist.
The 7th grade A team lost 26-24, 21-25, 13-15.
The Coldwater 7th grade B team beat Parma Western 25-20, 26-24, 15-14.
Samarah Irby had 8 aces, Jayla Moser 2 aces, Allie Armstrong 2 aces, and Allison Rodriguez Melendez one Ace.
The teams will host Hastings next Thursday, September 24.
