QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – An unidentified man was flown out by the Air Care Helicopter Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. 12 near the east village limits of Quincy.
Police and rescue crews were dispatched at about 6:30 p.m.. Quincy Police investigated the accident but so far the circumstances surrounding the accident have been unavailable from investigators.
Traffic on U.S. 12 had to be rerouted on the east side of Quincy and east of the village limits while police investigated and the victim was taken from the scene.
A landing zone was set up at Quincy High School in order to fly the injured man out. Life Care Ambulance and the Quincy Fire Department also responded to the scene.
