COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A second suspect in a Coldwater child sex abuse case is in custody and is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Branch County District Court.
Michigan State Police told WWMT-TV about the arrest of a female suspect. Her name is being withheld pending arraignment.
The arrest took place almost a month after 23-year-old Brandon Michael Biggs was charged for alleged sex crimes involving an eight year old girl and then sharing pictures of the alleged incidents on line.
Biggs was arrested at a home on Harrison Street following a Michigan State Police investigation.
He is facing three charges for child sex abuse and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
Michigan State Police said in a news release that the suspect allegedly molested and took sexually explicit photos of the girl for six months.
Biggs allegedly shared the photos to interested parties online.
After Biggs was apprehended, the child was placed in a safe environment by Branch County Department Human Services-Child Protective Services.
