MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High Schiool wrestling team has captured another Interstate 8 wrestling championship.
After going 7-0 in dual meets, Coldwater won the I-8 title by finishing first in the conference tournament on Saturday with 227 points. Jackson Northwest was second with 174 1/2 points.
Four Cardinals won conference titles. They were Zeke Nowicki at 112, Nick Buchanan at 125, Matt Gipple at 152 and Zach Gipple at 215. A total of 13 Cardinals placed in the top four of their weight classes.

Springport won the Big 8 Conference wrestling championship. After a 7-0 dual meet record during the regular season in the conference, Springport had seven champions as they won the tournament meet hosted by Union City on Saturday with a score of 198 1/2 points.
Bronson finished second with 142 points which allowed them to finish second in the final conference standings. Quincy finished sixth while Union City was seventh.
Bronson champions were Ben Modert at 112, Ruger Ranney at 160 and Chase Gibson at 215.
