COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A couple from Sherwood is facing numerous charges for alleged sex crimes involving a 14-year-old girl.
32-year-old Clyde Black has been charged with four counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct while his 36-year-old wife Katrina has been charged with two counts of first degree C.S.C. as well as counts of second degree child abuse and accosting a child for immoral purposes.
The Blacks were arrested following a Michigan State Police investigation. According to court documents, they allegedly tried to teach sex education to the girl in the case.
The Blacks were formally arraigned Wednesday in Branch County District Court.
Bond for Clyde Black has been set at $400,000 while a $250,000 bond has been set for Katrina Black.
Probable cause hearings have been scheduled for next Thursday. Preliminary exams were set for February 13, 2018.
