ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A man who allegedly did not register as a sex or violent offender twice was captured on Friday in Steuben County.
An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday out of Steuben County Superior Court for 58-year-old Ted J. Benhower following a Sheriff’s Office investigation into allegations that Benhower was not residing at his registered address.
Benhower was taken into custody without incident on County Road 400 West near Crooked Lake.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says they were acting on a citizen tip when Benhower was located.
Benhower was being held without bond in the Steuben County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
