QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Homer made things snug in the Big 8 Conference boys basketball standings as they built a 15 point lead and hung on to defeat the Quincy Orioles 61-58 to hand the Orioles their first loss of the season. The Trojans are now one game back of the Orioles for first place in the Big 8. Quincy was led by William Dunn with 21 points, Jordan Nelson had 12 points and Matt Hagaman had 10 points. T.J. Vanderkuyl led the Trojans with 17 points which included four buckets from beyond the arc. Quincy is now 14-1 overall and 10-1 in the Big Eight.
