MARQUETTE, MI (WTVB) – The Colon Magi were no match for Powers North Central on Saturday afternoon as the Jets posted a 63-0 victory in the M.H.S.A.A. Eight Person Football Division Two championship game at Northern Michigan University’s Superior Dome.
The Magi had beaten undefeated teams in every round of the playoffs before Saturday. Magi Junior quarterback Simon Vinson went down with an injury with a minute remaining in the first quarter. Powers had 610 yards of offense compared to 126 for Colon. Meanwhile, Lawton scored a touchdown and a two point conversion with 46 seconds remaining as they stunned Jackson Lumen Christi 21-20 in the Division Seven semifinals.
