COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The fall street projects in Coldwater continue and a new traffic slow-down is underway along U.S. 12 with a lane shift for a water main replacement between Walnut and Clay Streets. The orange barrels went up yesterday and will be in place until a week from today.
City Manager Jeff Budd says the Montgomery Street Project is progressing with all the mains being connected. Pressure tests have passed inspection and they are now working on sampling and flushing the system. They will now be installing the new water services for each of the residents on that street.
The Pearl Street storm water pipe is being installed while the sanitary pipe installation has not started. However, the milling and repaving is substantially complete. The street on Park Place ended up needing additional road work but should be paved next week. The contracted crack filling project has been completed.
The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities hydrant flushing starts today and the CBPU semi-annual water flushing will continue through the week. Flushing will start with Ward 1, then 3, 2 and 4.
