ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Lions have traded cornerback Darius Slay to the Philadelphia Eagles in return for a third and fifth-round pick.
Slay has reportedly signed a three-year, $50 million extension with Philadelphia.
Earlier this week, Detroit agreed on a deal with former Atlanta corner Desmond Trufant.
Slay broke up 104 passes and had 19 interceptions in 103 games over seven seasons with Detroit and was named to the 2017 NFL All-Pro team. Slay was entering the final year of his current deal and had publicly expressed displeasure with Detroit’s front office over his contract situation.
