COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Administrator Bud Norman reported to the Board of Commissioners during their work session on Thursday that several open positions in county government have been filled in recent weeks.
Norman said I.T. positions are the most difficult to fill according to the data they have.
He added it has taken them at least 60 days to fill positions and in some cases it has taken them over a year.
Norman said Branch County is not on an island in trying to fill openings.
As for the county employee reclassification requests that have been submitted, Norman said they have completed 70 percent of the interviews. They have been delayed in wrapping up the interviews due to illnesses. There will a summary review after the interviews are done followed by a meeting of the reclassification committee and a presentation to the Board of Commissioners.
