BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – School officials in Branch County want to give students an extra week to prepare for M-STEP testing in the spring of 2023.
With that in mind, the proposed 2022-2023 school calendar for the districts that feed into the Branch Intermediate School District has spring break being moved to the week of March 27, 2023.
In the past, spring break has been held during the first week of April. M-STEP testing in 2023 will be conducted on the second Monday in April.
The rest of the calendar is the same as in past years. The first day of school for students is set for August 22 with winter break from December 19, 2022 through January 2, 2023. The proposed calendar was approved last week by the Coldwater and Branch I.S.D. school boards.
