BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – It was one of the warmest Christmas Days on record in Branch County as high temperatures were nearly 20 degrees above normal. The high for Christmas Eve as recorded at the Branch County Memorial Airport was 51 which was reached just before 10 pm. The mercury continued to go up during the overnight hours and reached 55 degrees just after 3 am on Christmas morning which was the high for the day before temperatures dropped throughout the day. There was no white Christmas but 19-hundredths of an inch of rain was measured at the MSU Extension weather station at the Bloom Dairy Farm during the wee hours of Christmas morning.
