COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater B.P.U. Board of Directors is scheduled to go over a draft agreement during their Wednesday evening meeting that has been worked out with Paul Jakubczak.
He has been chosen to serve as the utility’s next Director and would succeed Jeff Budd who announced his resignation last August to take a position with Sekisui Voltek.
During a special meeting on January 17, the Board voted unanimously to extend an offer of employment to Jakubczak.
Board member Travis Machan, Board Secretary Nicki Luce and City Attorney Megan Angell were then told to assemble and discuss possible terms with Jakubczak and prepare an employment agreement.
The seven page agreement calls for terms to be effective on March 7 and include an initial annual salary of $160,000.
His salary would be reviewed annually starting in March of 2023.
Angell says in her memo to the board that they “submitted a set of terms to Mr. Jakubczak, who then indicated acceptance of them.”
She says the Board may decide to extend the offer of employment on the terms contained in this agreement, choose to revise the terms, or devise another action.
Make sure he can’t screw us like the last Beckhusen did. We can’t afford to do that crap ever again. City or CBPU
