COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Freezing drizzle combined with light snow caused a slippery combination on roads across Branch, St Joseph, and Hillsdale counties early Wednesday. It also caused area schools to cancel classes. Most schools were also closed Monday because of records day or professional development for teachers.
While a handful of schools in Kalamazoo County were closed, most all scchols in the southern tier of counties closed before 6 am. That included Coldwater, Quincy, Bronson, Union City, Tekonsha, Pansophia Academy, St Mary’s Assumption in Bronson, and St Charles Borromeo in Coldwater.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 4:50 am until 11 am Wednesday.
