GALESBURG, MI (WTVB) – MDOT crews will be out on I-94 this weekend west of Battle Creek, repairing some of the damage to the interstate caused by that huge pile up a week ago yesterday.
Separate efforts are underway to determine if the two lane design of the interstate is at all responsible for what State Representative Margaret O’ Brien of Portage says was the worst crash of its kind in Michigan history. Congressman Fred Upton says for safety sake, and for the sake of economic development, it should be widened to six lanes from Kalamazoo to I-69.
