COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater chiropractor could spend up to at least 4 years in prison if convicted after being arrested this week on health care insurance fraud charges. Michigan State Police Wednesday arrested 48-year old Dr. Sebastian Wilson.
Detective Sgt. Heather Johnston said Wilson was named on two warrants with a total of 8 counts of filing false claims. According to Johnston, authorities were contacted by Blue Cross-Blue Shield in September asking that Wilson be investigated. The alleged crimes occurred between December of 2013 and June of last year.
Wilson was arraigned Wednesday in Branch County District Court and released from custody after posting ten percent of a $20,000 bond. He’s due back in court for a probable cause hearing on February 12, 2015.
