If you are unable to use the QR Code or website, someone from HONU’s staff will assist you with registration at your vehicle.
The Sturgis testing site will be offered in addition to the free COVID-19 testing site at the agency’s Three Rivers location on Hill Street, every Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m..
Health Officer Rebecca Burns says, “At this time, the agency has the opportunity to offer free testing at our office in Sturgis. The agency continues to monitor the needs of the community and the county transmission level for COVID-19, which is currently high in St. Joseph County. We anticipate an increase in cases with the return to school and people closing up their homes in preparation for cooler weather. Most COVID-19 cases continue to be the Omicron variant, but not all tests are sequenced. Early testing can provide the best opportunity for treatment of COVID-19 with oral antiviral medications. Vaccination continues to be our best prevention strategy, not only for COVID-19, but for many other communicable diseases as well. Our offices now offer Novavax as an option for those who are over age 18 and are seeking vaccination.”
