JENISON, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s Charlotte Calhoun advanced to the M.H.S.A.A. Division Two girls diving finals on Thursday night as she finished 12th at the regional diving meet hosted by Jenison.
Calhoun scored 131.45 points in the preliminary round which was good enough to get to the semifinals.
She then made the 20 diver finals when she had 217.25 points in the second round and then finished the night with 310.6 points.
The top 16 finishers at the regional meet move onto the M.H.S.A.A. Finals.
The Division Two swimming and diving finals will be held next Friday and Saturday at Calvin University.
Coldwater’s Alexa Omo also competed in the regional diving meet and finished 24th.
This will be Calhoun’s third straight trip to the M.H.S.A.A. Diving Finals. She went undefeated this season.
Teammate Randi Dudek qualified for the State Finals in swimming in both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle races.
