COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Varsity Bowling teams split with Napoleon on Tuesday night at Midway Lanes.
Quincy boys dropped a close 16-14 match while the Quincy girls again walked away with the W as they defeated Napoleon 19-11.
In the boys match, the Orioles got off to a good start out shooting Napoleon 341-242 in baker play taking a quick 10 points. The O’s continued to roll well in the first half of game one in singles play but Napoleon found their marks late in the game and came away with six points besting the Orioles 829-795. Scoring for Quincy was Tyler Short (158), Brady Harper (201), and Draven Baker (136). It was all Napoleon in game two of singles as they cruised to the win throwing 1,014 to Quincy’s 703. Grant Wright was the lone point for Quincy in game two.
The Quincy girls continued to use baker games for a quick 10 points as they shot 270 to Napoleon’s 217. Despite the strong start Napoleon battled back in singles action taking 3 of 5 points. Quincy’s Jenica Kaser (125) an Kaitlyn Otis (119) would help Quincy extend its lead heading in to game two. A strong performance by Madison Wineland (177) and a pair of 134’s from Jenica Kaser and Elly Brewer secured the points needed as Quincy pulled away with the win. Napoleon would take the overall total points outshooting the O’s 1,261-1,234.
