BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater girls bowling team just missed qualifying for the match play portion of the M.H.S.A.A. Division Two Bowling Finals on Friday at Century Lanes in Waterford.
The Cardinals finished ninth during the morning qualification round which consists of eight baker games and two regular games.
They barely missed the final transfer spot as they were just 22 pins behind Charlotte for eighth place.
Meanwhile, the Bronson boys bowling team got to the semifinals at the Division Four Finals hosted by M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek.
After finishing first in qualifying by 105 pins over eventual state champion Grass Lake, the Vikings defeated Burton Bendle in the quarterfinals 1,220 to 1,160 but lost to New Lothrop 1,228 to 1,043 in the semis.
The Bronson girls bowling team finished third in qualifying but lost in the quarterfinals to Beaverton 1,030 to 990.
