COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was a tough Wednesday night for the Coldwater girls volleyball teams as they were swept at Marshall.
The varsity team opened Interstate 8 Conference play with a 3-0 loss to the Red Hawks by score of 13-25, 22-25, 22-25.
Coach Kelsey Closson said, “It was definitely a tough loss and not how we wanted to start off in the conference. However, I know these girls will come back to the gym and continue working hard. We have grown in the game already this season and I know they have a ton more growth to do. We have a tournament at Eaton Rapids this weekend and our eyes need to be ahead to our next conference game.”

The Coldwater freshman volleyball team lost two games to one by scores 19-25, 25-22, 6-15. Julianna Cowles led the team in aces with 4 while Khloe Tyler had 2 and Miyah Moore had 1. Tyler and Cowles each had two kills while Savannah Hayward had one.
