BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – After falling behind 1-0 on Pennfield’s only shot of the game, Coldwater High School’s boys varsity soccer team rolled to a 5-1 road victory Thursday night.
The win improved their Interstate 8 Conference record to 3-0, tied with Parma Western for first place.
Laith Musa scored three goals for Coldwater, with two of them assisted by his twin brother Ghaith. Austin Accardi and Hisham Ahmed scored the other two goals, with Accardi, Niko Downs, and Nabil Saied also picking up assists.
Franky Ramos and Mohamed Alammari shared time in goal, but neither had to make s save. Coldwater outshot Pennfield 28-1.
The Cardinals are now 7-5-1 overall, and will play at Three Rivers Saturday morning.
