LAKE JAMES, IN (WTVB) – The Indiana Seaplane Pilots Association will be holding their 21st Splash-In at Pokagon State Park’s Potawatomi Inn on Sunday.
The event allows park visitors a chance to see these planes take off and land on Lake James as well as taxi onto the Potawatomi Inn front lawn between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m..
Those who attend on can view the seaplanes and visit with the pilots. Thanks to the efforts of the Indiana Seaplane Pilots Association, Lake James was designated as a public seaplane base in 2012.
When the weather is good, the fly-in attracts about 20 pilots from around the Midwest. Attendees will also have a chance to enter a drawing for a free seaplane ride.
