UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Fire Department has announced they have been awarded a Michigan D.N.R. 50/50 Grant in the amount of $4,700.
According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, the department has to match these funds with a total amount that will be spent of $9,400.
The department says the request for funding was granted to purchase Wildland turnout gear, fire hoses and nozzles.
