COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Main Street has begun accepting applications for the reimbursement grant program known as Match on Main which is being provided by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation through February 12, 2024.
With at least a ten percent match, Match on Main will provide up to $25,000 for projects.
To be eligible, businesses and nonprofits have to sell goods or services face-to-face and have a physical location within the downtown.
Under terms of the program, Coldwater Main Street will administer a local application process and select up to two projects for MEDC’s consideration.
Applications will be scored using the eligibility requirements provided by the MEDC and a list of Coldwater’s local criteria.
The local criteria will evaluate projects based on whether the business type was identified by the community as a priority, according to
the 2022 Pulse Poll, how much impact the project has to diversifying the business and/or experience mix of the district and to what extent businesses are actively involved in downtown projects and programs.
Coldwater Main Street has to submit its selected projects to the MEDC by Friday, February 23rd, 2024.
MEDC will announce the winners during the week of April 1, 2024.
Applications for local businesses are available on the City of Coldwater’s website and by contacting Coldwater Main Street Director Audrey Tappenden at atappenden@coldwater.org
