COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved the first series of budget amendments to the City’s General Fund for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024 on Monday night.
The amendments increase the budgeted operational deficit from the original approved amount of $512,000 up to $524,000.
Finance Director Tom Eldridge said the figures included the final payment of $445,000 for the Fire Department pumper truck that was received last November.
Eldridge and City Manager Keith Baker reported to the Council that the proposed amendments increase revenues by $207,200 and expenditures by $219,400.
Baker says the City tries to budget conservatively and the staff is hopeful that projections continue to improve.
