June Louise Bailey, 92, of Sherwood, formerly Athens, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at The Laurels of Bedford.
A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Lighthouse of Athens, 310 S. Capital Ave., Athens, MI 49011.
A gathering of family and friends will be held following the service, along with a light luncheon, going until 3:00p.m., also at Lighthouse of Athens.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation.
June was born on June 26, 1931 to Herbert and Marie (Hanna) Cleaver in Kalamazoo, Michigan. On May 19, 1951, she married Richard Bailey, he preceded her in death on December 8, 2022. June enjoyed bible study, reading, baking, playing games (using her own rules), crossword puzzles, fishing, and spending time at the cottage on Union Lake.
June is survived by her children, Peggy (John) Zinsmaster of Athens, Rick (Linda) Bailey of Athens and Sheri (Jim) Galli of Sherwood; grandchildren, Scott Lane, Brian Lane, Derick Bailey, Michelle Bailey, Don Bailey, Brian Bailey and Victor Galli; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and family.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, son, Tim Bailey, grandsons, B.J. Lane, Jason Bailey and her siblings.
