Thomas Michael Duff, 81, of Coldwater passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A private burial will take place at West Girard Cemetery with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
He was born January 10, 1943 to James and Iola (Kikley) Duff in Ft. Wayne, IN June 10, 1967 Tom married JoAnn Havens in Ft. Wayne, IN.
Tom served as an educator with the Fort Wayne Community Schools where he retired after 32 years of dedicated service. He not only shaped and nurtured the futures of generations to come but was also adept at building houses and various projects, which he truly enjoyed.
Tom knew and exemplified the value of hard work. He also found joy in life at the lake and above all, sharing that joy and those memories with his family and those he loved most.
In addition to his wife JoAnn, Tom leaves behind his children Jean (Michael) Delwiche of Coldwater, Lori (Chris Evans) Duff of Montpelier, VT, Tom (Amy) Duff of Coldwater; and his grandchildren Aidan Delwiche, Eliza Delwiche, Everett Duff, Warren Duff, Jamis Evans, and Harry Evans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joanne Estrada, and his brothers James and William Duff.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Tibbits Opera House or encouragement to make a blood donation to the American Red Cross.
