COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School girls volleyball teams took on Hastings on Tuesday night.
The 8th grade A team lost the first two games 20-25, 14-25 before winning the third game 15-3. Hadley Schabloski had 9 points, 3 aces, 4 kills, one assist and 2 digs. Jemma Chehowski had 8 points and 5 aces, Claire Paul scored 6 points and 2 aces, Keeley Love had 2 kills and Mckenzie Miller had 5 assists. Kirah Sloan was strong at the net with 7 kills and one block.
The 8th grade B team lost all three sets to Hastings. Leading the team in serving was Avery Depew going 7-9, Saige Auble was 7-7 with 3 aces, Livia Williams was 7-10 with 2 aces and Athena Bell was 5-5. Mariana Deque had 5 digs.
The 7th grade B team lost a hard fought battle against Hastings. Taking the first game 25-21, dropping the next two games 22-24 and 15-17. Leading Legg in serving was Mia Sims serving 13/15, 4 aces, 6 digs, Allie Finley serving 13/13, 2 aces, 7 digs, Cloe Rocha serving 12/12, 1 ace, 7 digs, Ellissa Wilson serving 8/10, 1 ace, 5 digs, Morelia Oroco serving 6/7, 1 ace, 6 digs, Kennedy Hepner serving 7/7, 3 digs, Jazz Wells-Ellis and Brooklyn Hudson had 2 digs each.
