COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was one year ago today that the Quincy branch of Century Bank and Trust was robbed.
Two suspects, 33-year-old John Thomas Morgan and 30-year-old Nikole Collins, were apprehended about a week later near Cincinnati. They are now ready to go to trial in Branch County Circuit Court following pre- trial conferences Monday.
A three day trial for the two defendants is scheduled to start April 25, 2017
The trial was originally scheduled to start January 31st, 2017 but was delayed when it looked like federal prosecutors would get involved in the case.
Morgan and Collins are both facing seven charges in connection with the robbery. They have entered not guilty pleas to three counts of bank robbery, three counts of unarmed robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit bank robbery.
Quincy Police, the Branch County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and the FBI were all involved in the investigation of the robbery.
