COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Bronson man who is accused of leading police on a high speed chase through three counties on January 8, 2017 entered guilty pleas to two counts Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
43-year-old Scott Allen Calloway is scheduled to be sentenced May 15 after pleading guilty to assault with a deadly weapon as well as a charge of third degree fleeing from a police officer.
Two other charges of assault with a deadly weapon will be dismissed by prosecutors as part of the plea agreement.
Calloway is accused of leading police on a chase which started in Angola, Indiana.
The pursuit went through Fremont, Indiana with speeds reaching as high as 75 miles an hour. Branch County Undersheriff Keith Eichler said Calloway tried to avoid three sets of stop sticks and drove at deputies on foot.
