COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker reported to the City Council Monday night that a Michigan Department of Transportation railroad crossing project will take place this summer on Division Street just south of Park Street.
Baker said M-DOT plans to reconstruct the crossing and the project should take about two weeks to finish.
The exact date has not been announced yet, The posted detour will take thru traffic east down U.S. 12 to South Sprague Street then to Garfield Avenue returning back to Division Street. Additional traffic notices and information will be available once the final contract is awarded by M-DOT.
Baker also reminded the Council about the reconstruction of Grand Street from West Pierce south to Marshall and Church Street from Marshall to North Jefferson which will start in early May.
The project is estimated to take three months and is scheduled to be completed by the end of July.
Detours will be posted. Work will include new water, sewer, curb, gutters, sidewalks and pavement.
