COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s sure sign spring is not that far away.
The Branch County Road Commission has announced that seasonal weight restrictions will go into effect at 6:00 a.m. next Monday, March 3, 2025.
The Road Commission says maximum allowable axle loads on all Branch County roads will be strictly enforced starting at that time.
Loads should be no heavier than 11,700 pounds on vehicles with at least nine feet of spacing between axels.
The maximum axel loading is 8,450 pounds for vehicles that have between three-and-a-half and nine feet of spacing between axels.
Normal legal loads shall be reduced by 35 percent on paved roads and 25 percent on concrete roads for all “Non-Exempt” vehicles.
Tickets will be issued for violators. A list of the “ALL SEASON ROADS” will be furnished upon request to the Road Commission.
