SOUTH BEND, IN (WTVB) – A domestic disturbance last Saturday in South Bend led police in that city to arrest a suspect who was wanted for a bank robbery in Bronson.
South Bend Police say 46-year-old Dwight Neal was scheduled to appear for an initial hearing Wednesday in St. Joseph County, Indiana on charges of robbery, robbery while armed with a deadly weapon, and domestic battery.
Neal was arrested after police responded to a fight involving him and his girlfriend.
He was a suspect in the Friday morning robbery at the PNC Bank on West Chicago in downtown Bronson, as well as for the robbery of the Flagstar Bank branch in South Bend December 18, 2018.
Pictures of the suspect and the getaway vehicle were released by authorities following the Bronson robbery and PNC Bank offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator.
